Suboxone Telemedicine at Nashville Addiction Clinic

Similar to in-clinic appointments, patients undergo the same level of care using our telemedicine Suboxone program as they do if visiting one of our comfortable facilities.

    • Health insurance cards and/or information (if you have health insurance)

What About Follow-Up Visits?

Follow-up visits are nearly identical to your first appointment with one exception:

  • You perform a  non-invasive video drug screen
A telemedicine drug screening kit will be mailed to you within 3 days after your first appointment. A non-invasive video drug screen will be performed at every follow-up visit to ensure your successful recovery. Your telemedicine drug screening kit will contain pre-addressed, postage-paid envelopes for mailing specimens to our lab partner.Important: Your specimens must be mailed within 24-hours of each appointment to ensure our prescribers have confirmatory lab results before your next visit.

What is Required of the Patient?

Though our program is easy to do, we require all telemedicine patients to do the following:

  • Show-up for appointments (on-time)
We understand life happens. We simply ask for timely communications when someone can't attend their appointment. We will always do everything possible to accommodate a patient's needs.
  • Be Honest
We can't help create a solution if we don't know what the problem is. Honest communication will only provide better treatment.
  • Mail Your Drug Screens
Per state and federal guidelines, drug screening results are needed in order to prescribe Suboxone medications. That's why all telemedicine patients are required to mail their drug screens within 24-hours of each appointment, allowing ample time for our lab partner to provide results before your next visit.
  • What if I Relapse?
Relapse doesn't have to be a part of your recovery, but it can happen. Chances are, you're going to punish yourself for relapsing more than anyone else possibly could. Our mission is to get you back on-track with your recovery as quickly as possible.

Suboxone Phases of Treatment

State and federal guidelines require all patients to follow the same Suboxone phases of treatment. If you're moving to us from another Suboxone provider (perhaps due to insurance or needing telemedicine Suboxone treatment), our prescribers will carefully evaluate your prior Suboxone program to determine the appropriate phase of treatment.

  • Induction -Your first visit. This is where you'll transition from potentially harmful opioids to Suboxone.
  • Stabilization - Weekly visits for the next four weeks. These weekly visits are used to help establish a strong foundation for recovery.
  • Maintenance 1 - Four bi-weekly visits are used to fine-tune your Suboxone program as well as develop new, healthy habits.
  • Maintenance 2 - Monthly visits used to monitor your successful recovery. Patients who are successful in Maintenance 2 for a period of twelve consecutive months may be eligible for bi-monthly visits.
